I’m not quite sure how exactly it happened…but one night in the Fall of 2017, I ended up on YouTube watching a make-up tutorial (HotandFlashy) and immediately became hooked. Knowing me, I was probably researching new ideas to utilize in my classroom and a suggested video popped up and I clicked on it. All I know is that I LOVE, did I say LOVE, yes- I LOVE makeup. I am always on the hunt for the perfect flawless, yet natural make-up look. Are’t we all? 😉
Fast forward a few months to Summer Break. A teacher’s time to rest and recuperate…well…I do have 3 of my own young children. So, a break? Summer is when I get a chance to see what it’s like to be a Stay-at-Home Mom (summer cleaning of the house, taking/picking the kids up from VBS, planning meals for the week that I don’t usually have time to cook during the school year, running errands, trying to schedule in as many dentist & doctor appointments I can before summer is done, and starting to work on projects for the upcoming school year).
This summer; however, I decided to take a leap of faith, with the helpful nudge of a very dear framily member and my awesome husband for helping to make all the technical aspects possible, and start my own blog/youtube channel. I have to admit I’ve been contemplating this for months and I finally decided to listen to the advice of Lisaj (madeupmom.com/youtuber), “if you have been thinking about starting a youtube channel for any length of time… just do it, what’s the worse that could happen?”
