I have been a huge fan of Essie nail polish for years. I don’t know how many of your prefer to do your nails at home but I do! I find it relaxing and enjoy painting my own nails. I usually only painted my toe nails because unless we were going to a special event I didn’t see painting my fingernails to be worth the time & effort when it would just chip off within a day or two (I’m pretty hard on my nails with dishes, baths, etc…) Until…. gel polish was created! However, I didn’t want a gel polish on my nails that took a “special” means of removing it or a trip to the local nail salon. Therefore, I was SO happy when Essie created the gel couture polish that does not require any different method of removing it (I just use my regular acetone nail polish remover) and it stays on for about a week! That’s amazing!
I do not have a huge collection of Essie gel couture, as I do other Essie nail polishes- yet! Here’s some that I do have in my collection that I have been loving & wanted to share!
Colors L to R (Amazon): Signature Smile, The It-Factor, Getting Intricate, Matter of Fiction, Stitch by Stitch, Clear Top Coat (You can’t skip this final set), these kits are also available if you want to try out gel couture at a better price to make sure you like it first.

Now let’s talk nail polish for kids! If you have a daughter, like mine, or granddaughter who loves to have their nails painted but you want a non-toxic version… Piggy Paint is non-toxic and she’ll love it!
While visiting with my best friend last year I mentioned my daughter, who’s three, wanting to have her nails painted like mommy. My best friend recommended using Piggy Paint, like she uses on her daughter’s nails because it’s non-toxic. I will tell you that since it’s water-based it does not last long but it’s more for the fun of “pretty nails” than how long it will last.
When I painted my daughter’s nails this week I added some nail stickers that I already had and she thought it was the coolest thing! So, in the near future I plan to order the adorable Piggy Paint nail stickers!
Piggy Paint (Target Links)- Oh my, they have a mini makeover kit now! How cute! Kit with nail stickers, Kit pictured above.
